Curator — Photo Manager
Effective date: 1 April 2026
Curator is built around a simple principle: your photos stay on your device. This policy explains exactly what data the app accesses, what leaves your device, and what doesn't.
Curator is developed by Oscar [your surname], based in Switzerland. For privacy-related questions, you can reach us at privacy@[yourdomain].com.
When you publish an album, Curator writes it to your iOS Photos library using PhotoKit. This stays on your device (unless you separately sync your photo library to iCloud — that's between you and Apple).
| Data | Purpose | Recipient |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous device identifier | Purchase management and receipt validation | RevenueCat |
| Purchase receipt (via Apple) | Verify your one-time purchase | Apple / RevenueCat |
RevenueCat is our in-app purchase provider. It receives a device identifier and purchase receipt to manage your unlock status. RevenueCat does not receive any photo data, usage behaviour, or personal information. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Curator stores scan results, album drafts, and your review decisions locally on your device. This data is used to avoid re-scanning your library each time you open the app. It never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the app.
Curator does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app does not include age-restricted content.
Because Curator does not collect or store personal data on any server, most data-subject rights (access, deletion, portability) are already satisfied by design — your data is on your device, under your control.
For the limited data processed by RevenueCat on our behalf, you have the right to request access, correction, or deletion. Contact us at the email above and we will facilitate your request with RevenueCat.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local supervisory authority.
| Service | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Apple (StoreKit) | In-app purchase processing | Purchase receipt |
| RevenueCat | Purchase management and restore | Device identifier, purchase receipt |
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. For significant changes, we'll note what changed here. The current version is always available at this URL.
